Matt Holborn’s Learn to Draw: Here

Violinist, composer and bandleader Matt Holborn is now one of the UK’s finest jazz improvisers.

We’re proud to present his new band Learn to Draw, performing Here, his suite of four new pieces dedicated to the City of Hull and inspired by the city’s history, its place on the map and its people.

Here was commissioned as part of Hull Jazz Festival’s Kickstart Commissions series. We interviewed Matt, to find out more about the inspiration behind the new music and his composition process.
