Matt MacKellar Trio

Two of the brightest prospects from the North East jazz scene, Matt MacKellar (drums) and Ben Lawrence (keys), return to Newcastle after a long hiatus with a new band and a fresh sound. They have teamed up with virtuoso bassman Andy Champion to present a night of neo-soul and modern jazz classics and original compositions. With contemporary influences such as Robert Glasper and Erykah Badu, as well as the likes of musical legends Mulgrew Miller and Stevie Wonder, the band adapts an array of styles into their own to create a night of familiar yet exploratory music.

AGE RESTRICTIONS
Children and young people under 16 years old may attend events accompanied by an adult (age over 18). They are not allowed to enter the premises after 9pm and they must leave the premises by midnight. Under 16s are not allowed to purchase soft drinks, but they may consume soft drinks bought for them by their accompanying adult.

16 and 17 year olds are allowed to attend events unaccompanied by an adult and they may purchase soft drinks. They must leave the premises by midnight.

Tickets for venue: £10.00 advance, £12 door, £7 Under 25
Tickets for livestream: £7.50, £15.00, £20.00
