All-day Jazz Festival featuring the most exciting new Northern jazz artists
Catch up on these 34 exceptional artists representing the truly rich, eclectic and diverse nature of genre-blending jazz in the north.
Northern Line is Jazz North’s live touring support scheme, helping artists from across the north of England to deliver high quality live shows on profile-raising stages. Since its inception in 2013, Northern Line has supported over 74 artists to perform over 700 gigs at venues and festivals across the north. The latest roster of artists for the 2022-2023 period were chosen through an open application process and selected by UK-wide industry experts and tastemakers.

Ni Maxine is a Neo-Jazz singer songwriter; a black woman navigating the modern world and exploring themes of home, identity, self-esteem and belonging. Stunning, politically charged neo-jazz.
There will also be free music between 5pm and 9pm by Hull’s Wild Side Quartet plus DJ at Humber Street Gallery next door.
