This special gig will feature a really great big band – the Doncaster Jazz Orchestra – whose local name belies the national prominence of its musicians. Those appearing are professional musicians who have a long-standing relationship with the Doncaster Youth Jazz Association. Some – including Reuben Fowler, Rory Ingham, Matt Robinson and Nadim Teimoori – have jazz recording credits as contributors or key members of leading UK bands. Check out these and the other musicians mentioned above online to see the star names with whom they have collaborated. In October the orchestra is recording an album to celebrate its 50th anniversary and for this gig they will feature material that will appear on the album in a stylistically diverse programme of music.
