Since being crowned the winner of the BBC Young Musician Jazz Award 2016, Alexandra Ridout has rocketed on to the international stage, featuring in numerous bands performing across Europe, including Tom Ridout’s ‘No Excuses’ Band, Mathew Herbert’s Brexit Big Band, Clare Teal’s Mini Big Band, Guy Barker’s Big Band, The Alex Hitchcock Quintet, Yazz Ahmed’s Polyhymnia, Paul Booth’s Quintet and The Calum Gourlay Big band, ECM artist Kit Downes and world renowned drummers Jason Brown and James Maddren.
